Lip liner has always been one of those makeup products I’ve considered secondary. The time invested didn’t seem to be in pair with the outcome. But I was wrong.
The right lip liner can make a huge difference on the appearance of your lips and on the longevity of your lipstick. You can cheat or correct your lip shape in seconds.
It does take extra time in the morning, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to line them in less than 15 seconds whilst on the train – trust me, I know.
A nude lip liner goes almost unnoticed, but it adds that little extra to your lips. If you over line your whole lips, not only you don’t need lipstick on top but you also have a good base if you do decide to add lipstick, making it last double the amount of time.
A more statement lip liner, like red or fuchsia, needs to be used more carefully as any outline will be highly noticeable. However, it helps you stay within the lines when applying lipstick, makes it last longer, prevents it from running in the case of liquid lipsticks as well as it gives you that extra fullness.
If you’re ok with investing the time to get all of that, it’s a go go go from me!
I definitely don’t use it every day, but my special make up days are never complete without it.

What about you, do you use lip liners at all?
